Fame (Ship) logbook, 1809-1811.

The logbook of the ship Fame details a shipping voyage from Salem, MA to Europe and the East Indies, Oct. 1809-Nov 1810 and Apr.-Nov. 1811. The logbook does not continue while in port. The ship's home port was Salem; the owner was the firm of George Crowninshield & Sons; the masters were Benjamin Bullock and Holten J. Breed. The logbook includes profile views, a crew list, map of Sumatra, and a navigation abstract. During its voyage, the Fame spoke the ship Export (out of Salem), the schooner Four Brothers, the ship Janus, the Ship Merchant (out of Portsmouth), and the brig Republican.
